“Despicable Me 4”
Five films in deep so far, the “Despicable Me” franchise has grossed a total of more than $4.4 billion so far for Universal, so yeah, they’re making another. Directed by Chris Renaud and co-directed by Patrick Delage, it stars the voice of all your favorites, Steve Carell as Gru, Kristen Wiig as Lucy Wilde, Steve Coogan, plus newcomers to the franchise Will Ferrell, Joey King, Sofía Vergara, Stephen Colbert, Chloe Fineman, and Madison Polan.

“Sing Sing”
Colman Domingo stars in director Greg Kwedar‘s musical and incarceration drama about a man who finds purpose by acting in a theatre group with other incarcerated men. Clarence Maclin, Paul Raci and Sean San José co-star.

“Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F”
Detroit Cop Alex Foley (Eddie Murphy) returns to L.A. to investigate corruption with his daughter (Taylour Paige) and her ex-boyfriend (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). Franchise originals Judge Reinhold, Paul Reiser, John Ashton, and Bronson Pinchot return alongside Mark Pellegrino and Kevin Bacon.

“MaXXXine”
Filmmaker Ti West returns to finish up his slasher/fame trilogy with a tale about a stalker that follows Maxine (Mia Goth) to Los Angeles. Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon co-star.

“Fly Me To The Moon”
A romantic comedy-drama set along the backdrop of the 1960s space race between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, super producer/filmmaker Greg Berlanti’s latest stars Scarlett Johansson, and Channing Tatum alongside Jim Rash, Colin Woodell, Ray Romano, Woody Harrelson, and more.

“Longlegs”
Filmmaker Osgood Perkins (“The Blackcoat’s Daughter”) is back with a super creepy and freaky-looking serial-killer thriller with occult implications that stars Maika Monroe (“It Follows”) and Nicolas Cage with Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood.

“Twisters”
Nearly 30 years after the tornado-chasing thriller “Twister,” from 1996 comes the belated sequel. Lee Isaac Chung (“Minari”) directs a big ensemble cast that features Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka, and Maura Tierney.
Release Date: July 19 via Universal.
“Deadpool & Wolverine”
Marvel’s only summer movie teams Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in their iconic superhero roles in an R-rated multiversal story that looks like it’ll have big implications for the future of the MCU. Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen, along with a big rumored huge cameo-fest of all-stars from the 20th Century Fox-era of superheroes.

“Y2K”
Comedian/actor Kyle Mooney (“Saturday Night Live”) makes his feature-length directorial debut with a reimagined Eve of the Millennium dial-up disaster comedy about a group of friends who crash a New Year’s Eve party on the last night of 1999. Jaeden Martell, Rachel Zegler, Julian Dennison, and The Kid Laroi star.

“Skywalkers: A Love Story”
Directed by Jeff Zimbalist (“The Two Escobars“) and heralded at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, the doc ‘Skywalkers,’ centers on a daredevil couple who journey across the globe to climb the world’s last super skyscraper and perform a bold acrobatic stunt on the spire. Those with a fear of heights may need not apply (read our review).

“Dìdi (弟弟)“
The winner of Sundance‘s Audience Awards in the Dramatic Section and Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble earlier this year, the acclaimed “Dìdi (弟弟)” was written and directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sean Wang (the documentary short, “Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó“). Set in 2008 in the Bay Area, the drama is affecting ode to first-generation teenagers navigating the joy and chaos of adolescence as seen through the lens of a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy, played by Izaac Wang (“Good Boys,” “Disney’s “Raya and the Last Dragon“). Joan Chen, Shirley Chen, and Chang Li Hua co-star, and Carlos López Estrada (“Blindspotting“) is one of the producers. By all accounts, including ours, it’s a real big crowd-pleaser (read our review).
