Calling all Dad's to add your name to Thrive by Five's Dad's Action Plan:https://lnkd.in/g7nPDKpMToo often, the load of critical 'matters' relating to our children is left to the tireless efforts of (amazing) mothers, grandmothers and aunts! This is not fair to them, or our children. So I urge you to join this new alliance of dads and organisations to support an action plan to include more tailored and equitable support for men to be engaged and present carers in their children’s lives. The ASK:1) A national strategy to support fathers to take an equal share of parenting2) Universal access to early childhood education and care3) 12 weeks paid paternity leave4) Better parenting and perinatal resources for dads5) Incentives for men to become early childhood educatorsWell done to Jay Weatherill and the team at Thrive by Five (Minderoo Foundation). This post is part of a series of posts where I will share one thing I’ve done in hopes that this one thing will help you see your power in dismantling the system of w hite supremacy and how you can do something, big or small, too.Today, I highly recommend the ARD (Anti-Racist Daily) newsletter. It's the one newsletter I try to read every single day. I really like how it's easily digestible - broken down by how to take action, informational content, key takeaways, sometimes a quiz and/or how to learn more. Today's newsletter is on The Influence of W hite Supremacy on People of Color. Because we are all impacted. Do you ever wonder what is your responsibility when you see things that threaten the sanctity of humanity? I don’t know this woman, but chances are high that she is non-Caucasian, and this man who is also an attorney, felt it was appropriate to invade her private space and removed some thing from her person without fully understanding what that could possibly mean. I wonder if this were a hijab if he would’ve done the same thing. I wonder if this were a female of Caucasian persuasion if he would’ve behaved the same. At what point do we really start to protect women? At what point do we only start to protect black women? And why do some men have such audacity?https://lnkd.in/gC_ic839#racism #protectblackwomen #womenforwomen #firehim #attorney #lawyer#badbehavior

https://lnkd.in/gDx_vV_3Most of us are told we are special as kids and most come to realize we may not be so special as adults. Almost every part of life is willing to offer up evidence of this if for no other reason than to knock us down a bit. What if it's not true? What would happen if grown men and women had someone pointing out what was special about them? Could this belief or realization make a difference in their life and career? We have some evidence affirming this idea. You can do more, you can do better when you know how you are special (not to be confused with entitled). I need to make sure my employees and family get more of this message. Let me be the first to give this message to you if no one is there to recognize what is special about you.

Moms For Liberty is consistently dragged through the main stream media mud and that is not surprising. NPR, NYTimes, and other once highly respected sources are now well-known as propaganda spreading, Project Mockingbird, one-sided, not-necessarily-the-real-news story tellers, getting their buzz words at 4:00am and dutifully spouting them as ordered. Ugh!With prior reputations as media companies with integrity, employing journalists searching for the truth, MSM has fallen so far away from news reporting activities, their paying audience are cheated out of reality and robbed of their subscrition fees.Moms For Liberty must be doing everything right to be attacked on a regular basis. Bravo! Moms For Liberty is in the crosshairs, and I cheer them on wholeheartedly. Keep Drag Queen story hours & p*rnographic reading materials out of schools. The idea of normalizing the trans agenda Is Not Normal.Stop sexualizing children. God bless M4L for fighting to protect the innocence of children.

Most women are told to act a certain way.The stereotypes still exist. In my recent livestream,I had the honor to hear from 4 inspiring women. They spoke about their prison experiences, battles with addictions. What got them stronger:- develop a sense of purpose- recognize what others say, does not define them- cut out people who do not recognize their value- join a supportive communityWhat kind of labels do people put on you today?Catch the REPLAY here https://lnkd.in/gCedXqCb

When your kid comes out to you, it can be an adjustment. But it's not supposed to be. You're supposed to be overjoyed and rush out shopping for a rainbow cake. Parents struggling with the news are often rejected or demonized by mental health practitioners. This video normalizes the time it takes for parents to adjust their fantasy-future relationship with their offspring. It provides guidance for clinicians on how to work in a nonrejecting manner with these parents, it gives parents permission to feel what they feel as they explore new territory, and it suggests an unexpected resource: LGBTQ clinicians, who are often more understanding about the adjustment than others. #comingout #lgbtq #lgbtqsupport
