@gria2515 Yes! We've found that the recipes we've tried to work in the new "non-light bulb" style oven.
Have fun!

When you tried the recipes in the new easy bake oven did you have to adjust the quantity you prepared? Did the pan that comes with the new oven hold as much as these recipes call for?
Thanks!- June 26, 2012 at 7:27 PM

The quantity seemed fine. But with any of the mixes we used (even the ones that are for the oven) we've found we need to bake them a little longer than recommended. Good luck!

What pan did you use for the cakes? When I use the store mixes with the rectangle pan it doesn't seem to come out right...... And from what I've seen, they don't have round ones.

@Samatha JerniganI'm sorry to hear about your frustrations with the cakes! We used the rectangle pans that came with the set. We have had to bake the cakes a little longer with the store bought cake mixes. I can't really say that anything we've made with the Easy Bake oven (DIY mixes or Easy Bake box mixes) has ever actually tasted really good or had a great texture.
Truthfully, for the amount of time and effort it takes to make itty bitty desserts in the Easy Bake oven, I would rather just make regular cakes!!
I followed my sister in law's advice and purchased a babycakes cake pop maker for my daughter. The results are much more reliable than Easy Bake desserts and you end up with a lot more to show for your efforts. lol.
But at least it is a childhood memory that my daughter and I can both share. We can always remember how much fun the Easy Bake oven was and how it never quite lived up to our expectations. Good luck with your recipes!

Thanks for finding and listing all these recipes! My daughter and I had a blast using it for the first time this weekend (I never had one as a child, so this was new to both of us).
Everyone warned me how horrible the food tasted. I have to be honest, it's all slathered in enough sugar, it tastes fine. That's not to say it tastes great, but the pride my daughter has in making her own stuff makes every bite taste that much better!
So again, thanks for posting!

Thank you so much for posting. My daughter and I tried quite a few and we had a great time. I really don't think it matters how it turns out or even it's not the greatest taste. The point is that she made it on her own and is so very happy and proud. It is her start and is teaching her for when she is ready to bake in the big oven by herself. We had a great time together. Thank you for the help!

brought an Easy Bake oven to our house. So I figured it was time to look up recipes to make without relying on the expensive (and currently out of stock ... ebakeoven.blogspot.com

Thank you so much!! I've been trying to find refills for years and they're always sold out at regular retail stores or severely jacked up in price on Amazon or eBay (not paying over $50 to make teeny cookies lol). This was very helpful. My son really enjoys cooking and baking, so these are a great help!!
