Blade Ball: Best Tier List (December 2023) - Item Level Gaming (2)

Since its release, Blade Ball has added a list of new abilities players can use in the dodgeball game of death.

This tier list will be all about those skills and ranking which one has the best chance to win in Blade Ball.

Tier list is always subject to various factors including the player’s playstyle, so let us know in the comment what you think about this!

Best Tier List

There are currently 26 abilities in Blade Ball that you can use. There are 6 tiers in this list from the near-troll level skills to very OP abilities.

Best Ability (Infinity)

  • Infinity is by far the best ability in the game. Because you can control the ball from holding onto it, throwing it into a completely different direction, and just basically troll everyone else. Infinity is like the cheat that will let you win the game.

A-Tier Abilities

  • The Forcefield is an ability you should avoid. It’s a miniature version of the Infinity, but with a smaller range.

  • The Death Slash is strong and has a very low charge time that makes it so reliable on the field.
  • You have seen just as many Rapture users that dominate as they curved the ball in various direction.
  • The Pull ability is very fun when you want to mess with other people’s stand-off. It’s simply an ability to pull the ball to you at anytime.
  • The Phantom ability can be great to scare players, especially with how rare people use this. Most might not expect Phantom.
  • Reaper is not by any mean worse than Forcefield, but it depends on your playstyle. Where Forcefield confuses players, Reaper is a passive that encourages aggressive playstyle.
  • The Raging Deflect allows you to deflect harder.
  • Freeze can be an annoying ability to deal with especially in a 3-person situation to guarantee a stand-off.
  • Serpent Shadow Clone lasts for a bit but eventually you’re going to be the one in charge of the ball.

B-Tier Abilities

  • Right on top of the B-tier is the Telekinesis, an ability that stops the ball before sending it off fast to a random player. Problem is people might expect it when it stops in track.
  • Using the Swap ability to switch position with other players can turn the table before anyone knows what’s happening.
  • The Pulse is another annoying ability to deal with, but it’s only as good as your basic skill in Blade Ball. It disables all abilities for 15 seconds.
  • The Titan Blade is very straightforward with a wide hitbox range. But it can be easily countered especially with movement abilities.

  • The Force can be fun in screwing the ball’s flow.
  • Blink is a better ability than the Thunder Dash with 3 maximum charges. You can avoid getting hit and faste than the other dashes. The Thunder Dash is fun to surprise people although Blink is faster since they don’t have that much of a difference in range.
  • The Phase Bypass is possibly one of the most fun abilities to have with if you love movement. Following through a ball’s movement to surprise attack people is not something a lot of abilities can do.
  • The Shadow Step is a great movement ability with some charges and brings a variety of playstyle to you. It’s similar to the Invisibility in a sense.
  • Invisibility ability is good which allows you to be free of being targeted for the majority of the round or just to troll other players.

C-Tier Abilities

  • Dash is a basic ability that can be great if you know how to utilize it. It catches people off-guard when you dash to reflect the ball faster than expected. Or to make a distance where you can comfortably prepare to accept the ball.
  • Waypoint was probably meant to be a different rendition of blink with higher range, but it just ends up being unsuitable with the face paced field.
  • Wind Cloak could’ve been better but it’s just outshined by the Reaper ability.

D-Tier Abilities

  • The Super Jump is as the name indicates. It’s a skill where you can hit from really weird angles, mainly because most people don’t look up.

Not Recommended

  • The Platform skill isn’t particularly special. It just creates a platform, nothing you can’t do with the Super Jump ability. Similarly, the Quad Jump also cannot outshine Super Jump.

And that’s the tier list for the abilities that you can use in Blade Ball to win. There’s certainly the player’s skill to consider in this game because if you can’t hit the ball, you can’t win the game regardless of the ability you use. So, fret not, this tier list is not everything!
